I have put my FAC application in, just as i bump into someone who says that in my area its taking 18 to 24 weeks!!!!!!
Oh i'll just have to be a very good boy and wait for it all to happen, i have a big enough shoot to use a fac rifle although i'm only going for FAC Air, not a rimmi although my shoot is big enough even for that! my boss won't allow it and seeing as i live on the premises i had better respect his wishes!
The last time i was in trouble with the law James Callaghan was in number 10
I have no driving convictions
The only blip on the horizon is that i was put on tablets for depression when my wife nearly died, i never took time off work or anything like that so i'm thinking they will not see that as the deal breaker?? i was on the lowest dose you could take as well. so i'm hoping that they won't hold that against me, anybody have any views on the matter? _________________ FAC licence S10 Bull Barrel .22 JB Blueprinted & regulated elmer fudd extension MTC Viper 10 x 44 Daystate AirWolf .177 - MTC Viper 10 x 44 - BSA Scorpion .177 - JSR 9 X 50 RS stock - - Crossman Ratcatcher .22- 3 x 9 x 40

ive always wondered about this, i always wanted a shotgun cert but i was hospitalised in 2005 for severe depression (self harm, suicide attempt etc) i wasnt sectioned though, anyway, i wonder if it scuppered my chances of a shotgun or FAC air forever or if i let 10 or 15 years pass i might have a chance, i'll be very interested to see what happens in your case although your case seems a little less hopeless than mine
good luck, im pretty sure you'll be ok _________________ Weihrauch HW100S .177

Good luck with your application Matt.
My dad was in the GMP firearms unit (yes it's true), I'll have a word with him about your situation - not sure if he did applications though.... _________________ BSA S10 Mk3 .22 - Tasco 3-9x40 IR

I got treated for depression 11 years ago. Had no problem getting my FAC or shotty cert. If your still being treated then thats a different matter, but you shouldn't have any problems. Just be honest when your interviewed by your FEO as hes the one who has most input when you apply. _________________ 0.22 AAs410 BTAS FAC 27ft/lb now with NV!!!

I was thinking of putting it in the bedroom possibly behind the door although it would fit nicely next to the computer desk also in the bedroom any thoughts? is there such a thing as a bad place to put it? _________________ FAC licence S10 Bull Barrel .22 JB Blueprinted & regulated elmer fudd extension MTC Viper 10 x 44 Daystate AirWolf .177 - MTC Viper 10 x 44 - BSA Scorpion .177 - JSR 9 X 50 RS stock - - Crossman Ratcatcher .22- 3 x 9 x 40

yeah matt there is ....
one of the best places to put it is in the loft
failing that then the bedroom hidden into a wardrobe or something.basically some where out of sight.
then theres the usual alarms & locked windows & stuff _________________ mick .....

Well i had a visit today from the FAO and i have to say he was a really descent bloke we had boat loads in common we even shoot on the same estate although he stalks Deer where as i'm Vermin only.
He left with the parting words I see no reason why you shouldn't get it and the longest i would have to wait would be 6 weeks to find out but he said 99.99% got it! and just before he turned up MY GK phoned and told me that the map for the rest of the estate is now ready for me and i can collect and start using it ASAP _________________ FAC licence S10 Bull Barrel .22 JB Blueprinted & regulated elmer fudd extension MTC Viper 10 x 44 Daystate AirWolf .177 - MTC Viper 10 x 44 - BSA Scorpion .177 - JSR 9 X 50 RS stock - - Crossman Ratcatcher .22- 3 x 9 x 40
